Let’s Read, OCPS!, a district-wide reading challenge, will run from January 26 to April 30, 2026, and aims to encourage students to read for enjoyment and develop a lifelong love of reading by contributing to the district-wide goal of reading 50 million minutes.

Welcome to Sunshine Elementary School. I am glad you are here, reading about our wonderful school where students are number one. At Sunshine Elementary we use many strategies to help our students attain academic excellence. Our school mascot is the Sun Ray, who does nothing but go shine, just like Sunshine!

If you are new to our area, I hope you find the needed information on our website. If not, please feel free to call the school and we will answer your questions.
